Central Carolina Community Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving 11 counties in the Midlands by helping charitable individuals and businesses meet the critical needs of our community. We offer a creative, cost-effective and tax-efficient way for the people of central South Carolina to invest in the charitable causes they care about most.
The Foundation receives gifts and bequests from individuals, families, businesses and organizations. These gifts and bequests make up our $85 million philanthropic endowment, which consists of more than 350 funds that are pooled and invested for maximum growth and impact.
The income (and, where appropriate, the principal) of these funds is used to make grants to qualified agencies and institutions serving the residents of central South Carolina. In addition to serving donors and grantmaking, the Community Foundation seeks to demonstrate leadership, working in tandem with other local resources to address immediate and emerging needs and challenges.
